Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a historic Napa Valley estate in the Stags Leap District, founded in 1972 by Warren Winiarski and now owned by Italy's Marchesi Antinori. It is famed for its 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon winning the 1976 Judgment of Paris. The winery focuses on estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon from its historic S.L.V. and FAY vineyards, the latter being the district's first Cabernet planting. Under winemaker Marcus Notaro, the philosophy is to craft wines that reflect the unique terroir, achieving a balance of richness, elegance, and structure. The estate is committed to regenerative organic farming, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable practices like solar-powered water management.
