Producer

Mirco Mariotti

Italy

Mirco Mariotti is a family-owned producer in Bosco Eliceo, Emilia-Romagna, focused on the preservation of these historic coastal vineyards near the Adriatic Sea. Mirco inherited his father’s vineyards in 2009 and works as owner and winemaker, with Barbara Mariotti also involved. The estate farms sandy seaside sites with ungrafted native-rootstock vines, some over 100 years old, propagated by traditional propaggine. Notes consistently describe the farming as organic or organic-style, with emphasis on hand-picked fruit and artisanal methods. In the cellar, Mariotti follows a traditional ancestral frizzante approach, with primary fermentation in stainless steel, aging in concrete, and bottle fermentation. The wines reflect a distinctive local heritage shaped by old vines, beach soils, and careful family stewardship.
