Château de Pizay

France

Château de Pizay is a historic Beaujolais estate in Belleville-en-Beaujolais, with records of wine production dating to 1030. Its 80 hectares of vineyards cover the Morgon, Brouilly, Régnié and Beaujolais appellations, producing red, white and rosé wines. The estate bottles all its production at the château, with more than 400,000 bottles distributed annually in France and abroad. Since 1981, it has been owned and managed by a subsidiary of an agricultural insurance fund. The 1998 acquisition of Château de Saint-Lager added 14 hectares at the foot of Brouilly hill. The wines are described as powerful, full-bodied and generous, while the estate also offers an extensive visitor and sensory tasting experience.
