Italy

Founded by Pietro Scrimaglio in 1920 in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, Scrimaglio remains a family-owned boutique winery with roots in the region dating to the 17th century. Now part of the Vite Colte cooperative, it selects grapes for limited-output wines while retaining its traditional identity. All its wines are certified organic, with biodynamic practices and natural substances used for soil enrichment and plant protection. The winery focuses on prestigious Langhe and Monferrato wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Asti, Gavi and Arneis. Its style combines traditional winemaking and modern techniques, emphasizing native varieties and their elegant, balanced and authentic expression. Scrimaglio also played a role in the revival of Barbera d’Asti and the recognition of the Nizza DOCG subzone.
