Family-owned and operated, Donatien Bahuaud is a Loire Valley house founded by Donatien Bahuaud, an early pioneer of Muscadet sur Lie. Based in the western Loire, it works with diverse sites and soils from Nantes through Chinon, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil and Pouilly-Fumé, sourcing fruit and aging wines in-house as a small négociant-éleveur. The range includes Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. The family follows organic or sustainable vineyard practices and a minimal-intervention cellar philosophy, with organic certification noted for the 2021 Les Terr(N)oirs Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil.
