Quintodecimo

Italy

Founded in 2001 by Luigi and Laura Moio, Quintodecimo is a family-run estate in Mirabella Eclano, at the heart of Campania’s Taurasi area. Luigi Moio—owner, winemaker, professor and specialist in wine aromas—guides the project with a focus on native varieties and precise expression of individual vineyards. The estate farms organically, without herbicides or synthetic fertilisers, using manual vineyard work, mechanical soil management and practices that preserve local biodiversity. Its vineyards extend across Irpinia, including Mirabella Eclano, Tufo and Lapio, with varied soils, elevations and exposures. The wines comprise single-vineyard whites from Fiano, Greco and Falanghina, alongside Aglianico reds and Taurasi, combining varietal purity, freshness, power and elegance. In the cellar, rapid processing of freshly harvested grapes, selective extraction, locally selected yeasts and considered oak ageing support Moio’s aim of producing wines that remain youthful while expressing their vineyard origins.
