Château Condat is a family-run Bordeaux estate owned and operated by the Janoueix family, who restored the property after acquiring it. Its vineyards lie on gravelly, iron-rich Quaternary soils typical of Saint-Émilion. The estate follows sustainable practices, including lower yields, higher trellising, north–south row orientation and hedgerows that encourage vineyard biodiversity, although it is not formally certified organic or biodynamic. Winemaking is small-batch, with individual small-capacity stainless-steel tanks for each plot, manual punch-downs and gravity-fed vinification to limit pump use.
