Producer

Pasquale Pelissero

Italy

Family-owned Pasquale Pelissero is based in Neive, in Piedmont’s Langhe, where four generations have produced Barbaresco. The estate farms eight hectares around Cascina Crosa, including the historic San Giuliano MGA, and vinifies only grapes from its own vineyards. Founded by Pasquale Pelissero, the winery bottled its first Barbaresco Cascina Crosa in 1971 and is now led by his daughter Ornella and her son Simone, an enologist. Their traditional approach includes fermentation and maturation in large 25–30-hectolitre French oak casks rather than barriques. Farming follows integrated pest-management practices, with the estate also belonging to the Biotipicità consortium. The range focuses on native Langhe varieties and includes Barbaresco from Cascina Crosa and San Giuliano.
