Weingut Jakob Jung

Germany

Weingut Jakob Jung is a family-owned estate in Erbach am Rhein in the Rheingau, with the Jung family’s ownership dating back to 1799. Alexander Jung has served as estate manager and winemaker since 2008, overseeing vineyards planted primarily to Riesling and producing VDP-Grosse Lage wines. The estate is a VDP member and works from a historic 250-year-old rock cellar. Its sustainability-minded approach includes sealing all wines with screw caps, reducing sulphur use while supporting longer bottle development. Production is small-scale, with the 2023 vintage yielding less than usual.
