Producer

Plani Arche

Italy

Plani Arche is a family-run, handcrafted estate in the Montefalco area of Umbria, founded by Roberto Di Filippo and operated with his wife Elena Pompeii. The vineyards are certified organic and follow biodynamic practices, with manual work, cover crops, geese, and workhorses used to protect soil health and avoid compaction. Synthetic chemicals are avoided, and treatments are limited to those permitted in organic farming. Roberto, an experienced winemaker, oversees production with a philosophy of prevention, minimal intervention, and close attention to the land. Harvest is manual, with timing and pruning adapted to the desired style, from fresh whites to structured Sagrantino. Since 2024, their daughter Bianca Maria has begun joining the family business.
