Established in 2005 in Kakheti, Georgia, Château Mère was founded and is owned by George Piridashvili, who also founded the Winiveria group and serves as principal winemaker. The estate has developed from a modest marani into a winery complex and resort. Its wines focus on indigenous Georgian varieties, including Saperavi from Signaghi’s black-carbonate soils at 400–500 metres. Winemaking combines traditional qvevri techniques with modern European methods, while minimal-intervention viticulture reflects a sustainability-focused approach; no formal certifications are cited.
