Producer

Valravn

United States

Founded in 2014, Valravn is a boutique, négociant-style producer based in Sonoma County, owned by Baron Ziegler and led in the cellar by Rob Fischer. It works with a network of growers to source hand-harvested, single-vineyard fruit from Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Coast, Mendocino Ridge and other Sonoma appellations. The focus includes low-yield, old-vine Zinfandel alongside Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fischer favors wild-yeast fermentation, minimal intervention and considered use of stainless steel and French oak to produce approachable, site-driven wines.
