Producer

Le Machin

United States

Le Machin is a California producer focused on low-intervention, terroir-driven Pinot Noir with a French-style expression. Founded and run by Craig Winchester and Mike Roth, partners at Lo-Fi, the brand works with organic vineyards, including CCOF-certified organic Spear Vineyard Estate in Santa Barbara County’s Tierra loam soils. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in open-top fermenters without added SO₂, followed by full malolactic fermentation and ageing in limited French oak barrels.
