Plantamura is a family-owned boutique producer in Gioia del Colle, Puglia, run by Mariangela Plantamura and her husband Vincenzo. The estate farms certified organic vineyards on the high, rocky Murgia limestone plateau, where thin red ferrous soils over chalky, fossil-rich bedrock help shape the wines. Surrounded by woodland and a nearby nature reserve, the estate follows sustainable, low-intervention viticulture. Working with 100% Primitivo, Plantamura ferments with wild yeasts, keeps macerations short, and ages the wines in stainless steel without oak for around six months. The result is a fresh, fruit-forward, terroir-expressive style that is also vegan-friendly.
