Figgins Estate

United States

FIGGINS is a family-owned estate winery in Walla Walla, Washington, led by Gary, Nancy, and Chris Figgins. The family helped establish Walla Walla’s modern wine history, with Gary and Nancy founding the area’s first commercial winery, while Chris later launched FIGGINS as a single-vineyard estate project focused on Bordeaux varieties. The high-elevation, south-facing Figgins Estate Vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Riesling, with a clear emphasis on site expression. Farming is sustainably minded, with a “do no harm” approach that avoids herbicides and uses compost teas, cover crops, and soil-focused practices. The estate winery and caves are built into the landscape with minimal impact, reinforcing the project’s long-term, family-driven vision.
