Domaine Thibert Père et Fils

France

Domaine Thibert is a family-run estate based in Fuissé, in Burgundy’s southern Mâconnais, with roots dating to 1967 and some parcels cultivated for eight generations. Today the family farms and vinifies exclusively its own vineyards across Mâcon, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Pouilly-Fuissé. Viticulture follows an ecological and non-certified organic approach, using biological products and biocontrol, limiting inputs and soil compaction, and incorporating cover crops, manual work, trees and hedges to support biodiversity. The domaine’s Chardonnay reflects the varied clay-limestone, marl and stony soils around Solutré and Vergisson. Parcels are pressed and vinified separately, often as micro-cuvées, with gentle pressing, long élevage of at least nineteen months, limited filtration and measured sulfur use. The resulting wines range from fresh and linear to broad, structured and age-worthy.
