Vineyard 28

Australia

Vineyard 28 is a family-owned and operated winery run by Mark and Pippa Cumbers in the Geographe Wine Region near Harvey, Western Australia. Established in 1998, it is known for pioneering Italian grape varieties in the state, including Arneis—the first commercially grown in Western Australia—alongside Fiano, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Moscato Rosa. Winemaking is led by Mark. The vineyards include the original Vineyard 28, Rustys and the Wildwater site, leased from 2015. Viticulture focuses on conserving water, reducing chemical inputs, enhancing biodiversity, ethical sourcing and community support. The wines also include classic varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the oldest block planted in 1998 and 1999.
