The Grinder is a family-owned, three-generation producer in South Africa’s Western Cape, working primarily with dry-farmed bush vines in Voor-Paardeberg and the adjacent Swartland. Its vineyards have sandy-loam topsoil over structured, weathered-rock subsoil with good water-holding capacity. Grapes are harvested from mid to late February when fully ripe, then sent to a Paarl cellar for vinification and maturation. The wines reflect a dry-land Cape setting and bush-vine cultivation, with no organic or biodynamic certification mentioned.
