Messmer

Germany

Founded in 1960 by Herbert and Elizabeth Messmer in the Pfalz, Messmer remains family-run, with their son Martin now operating the estate alongside winemaker Jonas Bosch. The vineyards, including south-facing sites in Burrweiler on limestone, loam and sand, have been organically cultivated since 2011 and all wines have been certified organic since 2020. Biodynamic practices were introduced in 2023, followed by FairChoice sustainable certification in 2024. The estate focuses on Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, reflecting the Pfalz’s continental climate and varied soils.
