Château Cambon is an artisanal Beaujolais estate shaped by a minimal-intervention philosophy since its 1995 takeover by Marcel and Marie Lapierre with Jean-Claude Chanudet. Today Marie Lapierre and Jean-Claude Chanudet lead the domaine, joined more recently by Alexandre Iwasuila. The vineyards are farmed organically, with biodynamic practices also noted, and without chemical fertilizers. Old vines, including a historic parcel planted in 1914, are tended by hand with close respect for the environment. In the cellar, the approach is traditional and non-interventionist: hand-harvested fruit, carbonic maceration, indigenous yeasts, very low sulfur, no fining or filtration, and aging in old foudre. The wines are intended to express their Beaujolais terroirs with clarity and authenticity.
