Monte del Frà

Italy

Monte del Frà is a family-owned winery in Veneto, founded in 1958 by Massimo Bonomo and now run by the second and third generations. With about 200 hectares of vineyards (137 owned, 68 rented) across Custoza, Valpolicella Classica, Lugana, and Bardolino, it is a significant but family-driven operation. The philosophy centers on respect for the land and expressing unique terroirs, mastering the 'Art of Blending' for which its Custoza wines are renowned. Certified SQNPI for integrated sustainable farming, the estate employs green manure, sexual confusion, and micro-drip irrigation, and uses recycled materials and local labor. The winery features a modern facility with a controlled-drying room for up to 300 tons of grapes, aiming to preserve freshness and elegance. It offers tours, tastings, and an on-site art exhibition, exporting to over 60 countries.
