Producer

Château de Cardaillan

France

Château de Cardaillan is owned by the Countess of Bournazel, who also manages Château de Malle. Its vineyards are divided between Preignac in Sauternes and Toulenne in Graves, planted on sandy gravelly soils with vines averaging 25 years old. The estate produces both red and white wines. Red-wine production uses stainless-steel fermentation, a two-week maceration, and 12 months of ageing in a combination of new and one-year-old barriques. No specific sustainability practices or certifications are reported.
