Domaine Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil

France

Domaine Lebreuil is a family-owned Burgundy estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune, run by the Lebreuil family for three generations. Pierre and Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil produce white and red wines from appellations including Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Volnay, Pommard and Ladoix-Serrigny, extending to Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. Jean-Baptiste oversees the winemaking, which follows traditional methods with hand-harvesting and respect for terroir, grape variety and appellation. The domaine practices reasoned agriculture, has used no herbicides or insecticides since 2003, and has drawn inspiration from biodynamics since 2011. Its wines are described as fruity and fine, with soft tannins and good ageing potential. The estate has also been recognized by critics and wine guides for its Burgundy wines.
