Nero di Troia

Producer

Barbanera

Italy

Founded in 1938 at the foot of Monte Cetona in Tuscany, Barbanera Vini remains guided by the Barbanera family, now in its fourth generation and led by brothers Marco and Paolo. Its wines draw on Tuscan, Puglian and Sicilian sources, combining respect for tradition with innovation and selection of distinctive regional expressions. Chief oenologist Francesco Franchetti oversees production, supported by strict quality and food-safety protocols. The winery has adopted renewable-energy electricity and programs to reduce consumption, waste and emissions, with VIVA sustainability verification and ISO 14001 environmental certification. Following its 2022 acquisition by Italian Wine Brands, Barbanera continues as a family-rooted brand within the group, with wines distributed internationally.
