Founded by Tony Soter in 1982, Etude is a Carneros, California winery focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, including single-vineyard wines from notable sites across California and Oregon. The estate at Grace Benoist Ranch comprises diverse vineyard blocks and emphasizes sustainability through native oak and bay buffers, wildlife corridors, protected wetlands, erosion control, solar power, recycled-water irrigation, composting and recycling. Its garden also donates produce to the Napa Food Bank. Winemaking is led by Soter and head winemaker Jon Priest, with a focus on expressing the character of the vineyards and their terroir.
