Producer

Domaine Diochon

France

Domaine Diochon is a historic producer in Beaujolais’ Moulin-à-Vent appellation, founded in 1935. Long associated with Bernard Diochon, the estate passed to Thomas Patenôtre in 2007 as Bernard’s chosen heir. The domaine farms old Gamay vines on granite-based soils with sandstone and manganese-rich subsoil, using lutte raisonnée and sustainably focused viticulture without formal certification. In the cellar, the approach is traditional and low-intervention, with minimal sulfur and wines bottled unfined and unfiltered. The estate is especially known for its Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes, drawn from mature vineyards and shaped by a careful, hands-on philosophy.
