Brittan Vineyards is a family-run estate in Oregon’s McMinnville AVA, founded by Robert and Ellen Brittan after purchasing the property in 2004. Robert brings almost 50 years and more than 50 harvests of experience, including 16 years as winemaker and estate manager at Stags’ Leap Winery. The challenging hillside vineyard, planted on glacial and volcanic soils dominated by broken basalt, has been progressively rehabilitated through replanting and retraining. It is farmed organically and certified sustainable by LIVE. The estate produces site-focused Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah, including multiple single-block Pinot Noirs, with stony, mineral-driven and cool-climate character. Ellen manages business operations, while Robert’s long-standing passion for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rhône varieties shapes the wines.
