Braida

Italy

Braida is a family-owned winery in Rocchetta Tanaro, in Piedmont’s Monferrato, founded in 1961 by Giacomo Bologna and today led by siblings Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna. Closely identified with Barbera, Braida helped shape the grape’s modern reputation with wines such as La Monella and Bricco dell’Uccellone, while also developing white wine projects in the Langhe through Serra dei Fiori. The estate remains rooted in Piedmontese tradition and hospitality, with a philosophy that combines respect for tradition, biodiversity, and rigorous production. Braida is certified under SQNPI for integrated sustainable production and also highlights vegan-friendly winemaking without animal-derived fining agents.
