R. López de Heredia

Spain

Founded in 1877, R. López de Heredia is a family-owned bodega in Haro, Rioja, producing its wines exclusively from estate vineyards. The grapes are hand-harvested using traditional viticultural practices, with ethical treatment of workers noted. Wines are aged for many years in historic underground cellars, reflecting the winery’s distinctive long-term aging philosophy. Winemaking is overseen by María José López de Heredia together with two other family members, and the bodega operates without external investors. No specific sustainability certifications are noted.
