Domaine Camille & Laurent Schaller

France

Domaine Camille & Laurent Schaller is a family-owned estate in Préhy, at the heart of the Chablis vineyard, run by siblings Camille and Laurent Schaller. After Camille’s enology training, the domaine moved from supplying grapes to négociants to bottling its own wines. The family cultivates Chardonnay, Aligoté and Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils across several Chablis communes, including Premier Cru Vaucoupin and Vau de Vey. Farming includes soil work, mechanical weeding and generally reasoned pest control, avoiding herbicides through vineyard cultivation. Grapes are gently pressed by gravity, with fermentation in tanks and ageing in temperature-controlled stainless steel or oak on fine lees. The wines are presented as expressions of Chablis marked by finesse, minerality and purity, with a very limited boutique-scale output.
