Marco Porello

Italy

Marco Porello is a third-generation, family-owned winery in Canale, in Roero, Piedmont. Founded by Cesare Porello in the 1930s, it has been led since 1994 by his grandson Marco, who serves as owner and winemaker. The family cultivates vineyards in Canale d’Alba and Vezza d’Alba, where marine-origin sandy soils and clay-rich southwest-facing sites support Arneis, Nebbiolo, Favorita, Barbera, and Roero. The estate practices natural viticulture without herbicides or pesticides, uses indigenous yeasts, and is pursuing organic certification. Internationally recognized for Arneis, the wines emphasize meticulous vineyard work, precision, and quality, with stainless-steel aging used for fresh, early-drinking styles.
