Le Fraghe

Italy

Le Fraghe is a family-run, independent estate in Cavaion Veronese, in the Bardolino zone near Lake Garda in Veneto. Founded by Matilde Poggi, whose first harvest was in 1984, the winery remains closely identified with her work as owner and winemaker, with support from Federico Giotto. The estate farms its own vineyards, including Brol Grande, Montalto, and Fraghe, and manages the full process from grape growing to vinification, bottling, and direct sales. Certified organic since 2009, Le Fraghe is also a member of FIVI, underscoring its status as an independent grower. The winery focuses on local grapes such as Corvina, Rondinella, and Garganega, and has used screw caps on some wines since 2008 to preserve freshness.
