La Haute Févrie is a four-generation, winegrower-run estate in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, on the slopes of the Sèvre between Saint-Fiacre and Monnières, southeast of Nantes. Its vineyards occupy varied exposures and silico-clay, stony, shallow soils over gneiss, orthogneiss and amphibolite, giving the wines a strong expression of their distinct clos. The domaine farms without chemical fertilizers, controls yields and harvests entirely by hand, while moving toward increasingly natural viticulture. The Clos de la Févrie cuvée has been certified organic since the 2015 vintage. Sébastien Branger leads this independent producer, which focuses on careful vine care and expressing the character of its Muscadet terroirs.
