Greece

Kamara is a family-run producer near Thessaloniki in Northern Greece, founded by the Kioutsoukis family after leaving city life for the countryside. Working with Greek varieties including Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Roditis and Xinomavro, they farm with organic, biodynamic and permaculture principles, emphasizing biodiversity, manual work and minimal chemical intervention. In the cellar, Kamara follows a low-intervention approach: wines ferment with indigenous yeasts, without added oenological substances, and are bottled unfiltered. The style is described as light- to medium-bodied and food-friendly, with a focus on expressing both their philosophy and the local terroir. The estate has organic and biodynamic certification, and the family remains closely involved across vineyard and cellar work.
