Valle dell'Acate

Italy

Valle dell’Acate is a six-generation Jacono family estate in the Vittoria area of southeastern Sicily, now led by Gaetana Jacono. Rooted in a family wine tradition dating to the late 19th century, the estate focuses on Sicilian native varieties and organic farming, with certification since 2018 and participation in the VIVA sustainable viticulture project. Its work is strongly terroir-driven, most clearly expressed in the “7 terre per 7 vini” project, developed through decades of study to match each wine to its most distinctive soil. Based at the historic Feudo Bidini in Ragusa, the winery is closely tied to the character, biodiversity, and geology of the Iblean landscape, and is especially noted for Frappato and Cerasuolo di Vittoria.
