Cantine Antonio Caggiano

Italy

Cantine Antonio Caggiano is a family-owned winery in Taurasi, Campania, founded in 1990 by Antonio Caggiano and now run by his son Giuseppe “Pino” Caggiano, with Antonio still involved. Based in Contrada Sala, the estate is regarded as a benchmark for Irpinia’s classic DOCG wines, especially Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino, and Greco di Tufo. Antonio created the cellars to recover the lost aromas and flavors of Taurasi and to preserve local rural culture; the stone-walled tunnels function as both winery and museum of viticultural history. The family’s style is described as meticulous in the vineyard and precise in interpretation, aiming for wines of strong character. The estate has also earned notable recognition in Italian and international wine guides and awards.
