Il Gelsomoro is a small, family-operated winery founded in 2004 by owner-winemaker Silvia Giorgetti and her husband Giuseppe in Morro d’Alba, Marche. The estate focuses on indigenous varieties including Lacrima, Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Verdicchio, expressing the character of its clay-calcareous soils, southeast-facing vineyards and nearby Adriatic breezes. Certified organic since its foundation, the winery uses cover crops, minimal soil working, no fertilizers and only sulfur and reduced copper treatments. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, restrained extraction and limited intervention aim to preserve the fruit and territorial identity. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the wines are matured in concrete, stainless steel and limited wood.
