Founded in 2014, Bodega Cazapitas is an independent Galician micro-bodega run by founding winemakers David Rial, Juan Chamorro and Manuel. Working across Rianxo in Barbanza and Tomiño in Baixo Miño, the project focuses on limited-production wines that express their distinct Atlantic and granitic origins. The team farms indigenous varieties including Albariño, Raposo and Ratiño, with an emphasis on low yields and vineyard care. Traditional styles sit alongside experimental, small-batch editions— including ancestral, semi-sweet and skin-contact wines—made according to each vintage rather than fixed recipes. Wines are produced both within DO Rías Baixas and outside the appellation, allowing greater creative freedom while preserving a strong sense of place.
