Founded by Lee Hudson in 1981, Hudson Ranch is an agrarian estate in Napa Valley’s Carneros District, where sustainable farming and environmental stewardship guide work across its vineyards and diverse agricultural landscape. The ranch focuses on site-driven fruit, with careful attention to soil, climate, rootstock, clones, and scion combinations. After decades of supplying grapes to leading Napa wineries, Hudson began making its own wines in 2004. Chardonnay is a noted specialty, alongside a savory Grenache and an unusual, fragrant white made from Aleatico. The estate also produces olive oil, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and raises heritage livestock. Lee Hudson’s horticultural background and experience with Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac, together with winemaker Andrew Holve’s viticultural and enological training, underpin the estate’s meticulous approach.
