Domaine Pierre Labet

France

Pierre Labet is a family-run Burgundy estate rooted in Beaune for roughly five centuries. Led by François Labet since 1984, it farms vineyards from Meursault through Beaune and Gevrey-Chambertin, including Vougeot, using organic practices since the early 1990s, low yields, and no formal certification cited. The wines are made with a minimal-intervention approach and indigenous yeasts. Vinification and barrel aging take place at Château de La Tour, with the team also responsible for Clos-Vougeot wines. Whole-bunch vinification, adopted in 1987, and careful maturation in custom, fine-grained, lightly toasted oak are central to the estate’s style.
