Château Haut-Bergey is a family-owned estate in Léognan, in Bordeaux’s Pessac-Léognan appellation, held by the Garcin family since Sylviane Garcin-Cathiard purchased it in 1991. With roots dating back to the 15th century, the property was revived in the modern era and is now led by Paul Garcin, with François Prouteau as cellar master. The estate produces both red and white wines and farms its vineyards on gravel, sand, and clay soils. Since 2015–2016, the vineyard has been converted to organic and then biodynamic farming, earning Ecocert, Demeter, and Biodyvin certification and becoming the first fully biodynamic property in Pessac-Léognan. The winemaking approach emphasizes precision, gentle élevage, and pure, fresh, authentic expressions of terroir.
