GMEINBÖCK is a nearly 300-year-old family winery in Poysdorf, Weinviertel, owned and managed by Manuel Gmeinböck. Its eco-designed facility, opened in 2018, uses renewable-resource construction, photovoltaic electricity and natural ground cooling. The estate emphasizes careful intervention in natural cycles to protect biodiversity, combining traditional methods with modern temperature-controlled fermentation. Grüner Veltliner is the signature variety, expressing Weinviertel character from sites including Waldberg and Hundsberg, while the range also includes Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blends, and traditionally made sparkling wines. The wines focus on regional expression, with styles ranging from fresh, cool-climate whites to structured reds and Sandstein 500, matured in large wooden casks.
