Producer

Merindoc

Australia

Merindoc is a family-owned Victorian producer operated by three generations of the Shelmerdine family. With a long history spanning 125 vintages, the family manages vineyards for low-yield, high-quality grapes and follows sustainable land-management and regenerative-agriculture principles. The Merindoc Springs Shiraz block is currently being converted to organic certification, although no formal certifications are reported. After nearly 60 years, Merindoc has paused its own winemaking and now focuses primarily on supplying premium grapes to other producers, with fruit for Syrahmi Wines overseen by winemaker Foster. The family also plans to redevelop its cellar door as an eco-tourism and regenerative-agriculture education centre.
