Italy

Gaja’s Idda is a family-run joint venture with the Graci family on Mount Etna in Sicily. Its vineyards cover about 20 hectares, planted mainly with Carricante and a small amount of Nerello Mascalese. Angelo Gaja and his brother Giovanni oversee the operation, while day-to-day winemaking is led by Antonio La Fata, who joined in 2023. The wines reflect Etna’s distinctive native varieties and volcanic setting. No specific sustainability certifications or eco-labels have been reported for the estate.
