Fullminant Wein is Christopher Full’s small, independent estate in M6lsheim, Rheinhessen, rooted in the limestone slopes of the Zellertal. Full, a M6lsheim native and cellar master at Battenfeld-Spanier and Kchling-Gillot since 2017, began his own winemaking project in 2012. He farms sustainably through humus building, dry-farming, soil and vine vitality, and biodiversity, with no formal certification listed. The wines come from challenging, low-yield limestone and clay sites, particularly Herrgott Zellerweg and Gef4lle in Silberberg. Riesling is central, with grapes fermented spontaneously in wooden barrels and aged on the full lees, using minimal sulfur and no fining agents. Extended maturation in the estate’s limestone-insulated cellar reflects Full’s patient, experimental approach and focus on precise, long-lived wines of origin. Production is deliberately limited to a maximum of 100 barriques per vintage, when nature allows.
