Fontodi

Italy

Fontodi is a family-owned Tuscan estate in the Conca d’Oro near Panzano, owned and run by the Manetti family, with Giovanni Manetti overseeing the winery. Certified organic since 2008 and farmed with biodynamic principles, the estate avoids herbicides and pesticides and uses internal composts to support sustainable viticulture. Its wines come from estate vineyards, are hand-harvested and carefully selected, then vinified in a gravity-flow cellar to preserve fruit integrity and site expression. The calcareous clay-schist galestro soils, altitude, and warm, dry microclimate shape a style rooted in Sangiovese, including the flagship Flaccianello della Pieve.
