Marine Descombe leads the fifth-generation, family-owned Domaine Descombes in Beaujolais with her brother and partner, Kevin Jandard. The estate includes vineyards in Beaujolais Villages, Brouilly, Morgon and Fleurie, as well as Château de Pougelon. Certified HVE3, the domaine follows an organic-minded approach, with certified organic parcels, tree planting, reduced vine density and hand-harvesting throughout its vineyards. Marine is the estate’s first female winemaker, continuing the family tradition while shaping its contemporary direction.
