Flametree Wines

Australia

Flametree Wines is a Margaret River producer in Western Australia, established in 2007 by Jeremy John Towner. Rather than farming estate vineyards, it works with contracted growers across sub-regions including Karridale, Walcliffe, Willyabrup and Yallingup. Its approach focuses on low-yield, carefully managed sites, with grower contracts specifying practices such as maximum yield limits and leaf-plucking, although no formal sustainability certifications are noted. The wines are made by Cliff Royle, who also serves as general manager. Flametree has earned strong critical recognition, including a James Halliday 5-red-star rating and the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy.
