Founded in 2005 by South African golfer Ernie Els, Ernie Els Wines is located in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, Western Cape, with views of Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Helderberg Mountains. Els remains the owner, while winemaker Louis Strydom oversees production at the modern winery. The estate focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon, expressed through four collections: Signature, Major Series, Big Easy, and Proprietor’s.
