Producer

Domaine de Chatillon

France

Domaine de Chatillon is a very small, quality-focused producer in Savoie, on the northern tip of Lac du Bourget and the foothills of Mont Clergeon. Owned by Swiss-born wine enthusiast Ed Peter, the domaine farms dry-grown vineyards using sustainable “lutte raisonnée” practices, with many vines over 50 years old and all vineyard work carried out by hand. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with wild yeasts, then matured in concrete or stainless steel rather than oak. The wines are vegan friendly and made with minimal added sulphur, expressing a restrained, low-intervention approach to the Alpine terroir.
